VIRA GRACE PAKY

BLACK CREATIVES AOTEAROA

Vira is the President of the New Zealand National Refugee Youth Council. She is a graduate of St Dominic’s Catholic College and a current undergraduate student at the University of Auckland. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Sociology, Cultural Anthropology and Global Politics. She is also a student member of the National Council of Women.

Vira spends the majority of her time working, studying or writing. When she isn’t writing, she can be found volunteering with UN Youth New Zealand or performing in local poetry slams. She is currently working on her first stage production.
